Screenplay Editing
Combing through your script for the hundredth time is wearying. The tediousness of the task makes spotting your own mistakes more difficult. You’ve already been staring at those pages for hours, weeks, or even years.
But skipping the final edits is dangerous. Awkward dialogue and typos will frustrate script readers. Improper formatting and long, rambling action description will annoy the hell out of them.
My screenplay editing rate starts at $5.00 per page. I price each project individually based on its unique needs and circumstances.
I prefer to see your full screenplay and do a sample edit of 5 pages before sending you a project proposal. The sample edit helps us both know whether we’d be a good fit, and it helps me to price my services accurately.
I edit all lengths of screenplays, from feature-length to shorts.
What does my editing do for your screenplay?

- Finds potentially harmful language^^
I prefer to work in Final Draft (FDX files) but am open to finding other solutions when that isn’t possible.
*I use The Screenwriter’s Bible, The Chicago Manual of Style, and the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary as editing resources.
^^Though I learned about conscious and inclusive language during my copyediting training, I am not a trained sensitivity or authenticity reader. I’ll do my best to point out potentially harmful language, but if you’d like to find someone who can take a deeper look at your manuscript, I can point you in the right direction. Just ask!
